There are several ways to volunteer for the William Whyte Community Clean-up:
1) SHOW UP!
Come to the Ukranian Labour Temple on May 21st, between 8:00-9:30am, and register for a block to clean. Come in a group, or join up with other volunteers once you arrive to pick up cleaning supplies, have some coffee and a light snack, and head out to pick up litter. Keep up the good work until noon, and head back to the Labour Temple for some hot lunch and door prizes!
Can't make it on May 21st? Or want to make sure you get your own front yard to clean? Sign up early with Adopt-A-Block, where you pick which blocks you want to be responsible for, and then make sure it gets cleaned up by May 21st. Special prizes will be awarded to adopt-a-block participants. Call the William Whyte Community Clean-up hotline, or fill out the online form on this page to adopt a block!
3) BE A PART OF THE PLANNING TEAM
We always need volunteers to help make this event a success! Whether you have skills in web design or grant writing, like to get on the phone or walk the streets putting up posters, can organize well or just have some time you are willing to invest, we can use you! Contact Annette at 582-0988 to volunteer.
Are you a business person or philanthropist who believes in grass-roots community efforts to take pride in our neighbourhood? We gladly accept volunteers, donations of door prizes, monies and/or menu items.
